Peso Pluma‘s four guests during Weekend One of Coachella were already impressive, but the Mexican star stepped it up even more on Weekend Two, bringing out five guests Friday night.

The Mexican music star — who dedicated his set both weekends to the originators of corridos — welcomed surprise guests from Anitta, Eslabón Armado, Chencho Corleone, Ryan Castro, and Jasiel Nuñez.

After Peso opened his set with standouts “Rubicon,” Nuñez joined him for a rendition of their Génesis collaboration, “Rosa Pastel.”

In a segment of his show dedicated to his reggaeton tracks, Peso welcomed Ryan Castro for a duet of “Quema.” He also brought out Plan B legend Corleone for a performance of their recent collaboration “Humo,” and welcomed Anitta to sing “Bellakeo” as they showed off their perreo skills onstage.

Near the end of his set, he performed his hit with Eslabón Armado — which Rolling Stone designated as the No. 1 song of 2023 — “Ella Baila Sola,” surprising fans since he left the collaboration off the setlist the week prior.

”This was the No. 1 song of 2023, whoever likes it or not!” He told the crowd as he hugged frontman Pedro Tovar.

Last weekend, the singer welcomed Becky G, Santa Fe Klan, Junior H, and Arcángel. Becky’s appearance served as a full-circle moment for Peso after he joined her onstage the year prior as he was starting to get buzz for “PRC.”

Peso’s Coachella shows come about a month after he announced his album Éxodo via a Rolling Stone cover story celebrating the Future of Music. “I’m focusing on fine-tuning all the details, but there’s going to be a lot of flavors, not only of regional Mexican music,” he said at the time. “From the beginning, I’ve liked doing things to get out of my comfort zone. I know everything goes great with corridos, but I also don’t pass up opportunities to do other stuff I like.”

Peso is scheduled to hit the road later this year with his “Exodo” tour stopping at arenas across the United States and at Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City.
