Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have done themselves “no favours” in their hopes to reconcile with King Charles, following the explosive Endgame book, according to a royal expert.

Royal biographer Omid Scobie’s new book Endgame launched a swathe of criticisms towards senior members of the Royal Family, in the aftermath of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit from working duties.

Among multiple bombshell claims, Scobie alleges that Prince William “covertly sanctioned” leaks to reporters about Prince Harry, and that William ignored Harry’s texts on the day of Queen Elizabeth II’s death, forcing Harry to charter a £30k flight from Luton Airport to Aberdeen.

Scobie also claims Princess Kate “spent more time talking about Meghan [Markle]”, than with her, and that the Princess of Wales “shudders and giggles” every time she hears Meghan’s name, adding that Kate “immediately detected a rival.”

Royal expert and editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, Ingrid Seward, believes the new release may have hindered any reconciliation.

She told the Mirror: “The revelations in the new book Endgame with its vicious attacks on the monarchy and the Prince and Princess of Wales in particular, have been noted.

“The King will have been briefed as to some of its contents by his aides as that is their job to do so. But he will not read it, discuss it, or give any indication he has even heard of it.

“Whether or not Harry and Meghan have anything to do with the latest book is not the issue. They have done in the past. If they haven’t, Scobie owes them an apology as he hasn’t done them any favours.”
