Marks & Spencer’s £35 ‘flattering’ denim shorts are ‘perfect for a city break’

M&S shoppers are rushing to get their hands on a flattering pair of , hailed as ‘perfect for hot summer days.’

The, which come in three different shades, and plenty of sizes are ideal for throwing on with a vest top for a casual daytime look, or dresses up with a pair of wedges and a bodysuit for the evening. 

With an impressive rating of 4.9 out of five on the , we’re not surprised shoppers are snapping them up in every colour ahead of their summer vacations. One delighted customer describing them as ‘a wardrobe staple,’ added: “Stylish shorts made from good quality denim. These look good with everything and are a useful addition to my summer wardrobe.”

Another customer who also called them a ‘staple’ added: “Bought for a city trip. Love as they are so versatile. These are slightly longer in length than my usual denim shorts, but perfect for day time city break or adding a jacket or smart top for evening. Imagine they will be stable in my wardrobe for some time.”

While a third said: “These shorts are a great fit if you’re curvy. I have a small waist and ample bum and these are really . I’m between a 10 and 12 and bought a 10 which is comfortably loose and fits well everywhere.”

“I love these shorts, very flattering design. Need a t-shirt tucked in but looks good,!” said a fourth.

The full product description on the M&S website reads: “These comfortable are a stylish summer staple. They’re cut in a flattering paper bag shape, with a stylish D-ring belt on the high waist. Subtle pleat detailing on the front adds a tailored touch. A neat button-and-zip fastening and two practical side pockets complete the look.”

You can grab the shorts in Medium Indigo, Light Indigo, and Ecru, and sizes range from a UK six to 24 – however some sizes have completely sold out depending on which colour you opt for.

Despite plenty of glowing reviews, one shopper was disappointed with the fit of the shorts, and said: “Nice shorts but the fit wasn’t right. I usually wear size 12 M&S and these were too tight across my stomach.”
