A woman is suing Blueface for defamation after the rapper claimed in a series of social media posts that Soulja Boy’s one-year-old son could be his child.

Jackilyn Martinez, who shares a young son with Soulja Boy, filed her complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday. She alleged her lawyers sent Blueface a cease-and-desist letter on Tuesday, but he “callously and mockingly” responded on Instagram with a post reading, “Nobody even said your name.”

Martinez stated in her filing that while she did have protected sex with Blueface one time in 2018, she hasn’t had any interaction with him since. “There is zero chance that the defendant is plaintiff’s child’s biological father,” her complaint obtained by Rolling Stone read.

In his series of social media posts excerpted in the complaint, Blueface, whose legal name is Johnathan Jamall Porter, allegedly wrote that he had sex with Soulja Boy’s “baby mama the day before your baby shower,” giving the date of the shower as June 11, 2022. “Might be my kid he ain’t even get the DNA test,” he allegedly wrote in another post listed in the lawsuit.

Martinez claimed that shortly after she posted on her own Instagram account that she sent Porter the cease and desist, she later received multiple death threats on the platform from unknown people. “We gun in u down,” one post read, according to the complaint. “When u in the grave I’ll make sure you baby Alr,” read another purported threat.

“Plaintiff is gravely concerned for herself and her child’s safety and well being, and plaintiff is extremely nervous and afraid to go outside and/or be in public,” her filing stated. She said the allegedly defamatory statements paint her as “promiscuous” and “unfaithful to the father of her child.” Martinez alleged Porter has not retracted or removed the statements from social media, and she believes he made them to promote his career by “engaging in a feud” with Soulja Boy, whose legal name is Deandre Cortez Way.

Blueface did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone’s request for comment.

Martinez’s claims include defamation, false light, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence. She’s asking for real and punitive damages, attorney’s fees, and a permanent injunction barring Porter from defaming her.
